About the role
Gumdale State School Parents and Citizens Association is seeking an experienced and passionate Educational Leader to join their Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) team. This part-time role (37.5hrs/week) will be responsible for leading the educational program and practice at the Gumdale State School OSHC.
What you'll be doing
- Developing, implementing and evaluating the educational program to ensure it aligns with the My Time, Our Place framework and meets the needs of the children in care
- Guiding and mentoring the OSHC team to deliver high-quality educational and recreational activities
- Ensuring the OSHC environment is safe, inclusive and conducive to children's learning and development
- Liaising with families, school leadership and the community to build strong partnerships
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation to meet regulatory requirements
- Continuously improving the OSHC program through reflection, feedback and research
What we're looking for
- Relevant tertiary qualification in education, early childhood or a related field
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an Educational Leader or equivalent role in an OSHC or early learning setting
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement engaging educational programs that support children's learning, development and wellbeing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with children, families and the school community
- Excellent organisational and time management skills to juggle competing priorities
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, My Time, Our Place and other relevant regulations and guidelines
- Passion for providing high-quality care and education for school-aged children
