Role Summary

The Project Manager will lead and manage complex projects, overseeing planning, scope, and end-to-end delivery while ensuring compliance with organisational frameworks. The role requires high-level stakeholder engagement and the ability to resolve complex issues, with a focus on driving project success in a flexible, results-driven environment.

Job Details

• Location: Sydney, Canberra, or Brisbane
• Hours:5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day, between 8:30 am to 5:00 pm)
• Pay: $105 per hour
• Contract Term: 12 months, with options to extend for two additional 12-month periods
• Security Clearance: Requirement to obtain a Baseline security clearance
• Flexibility & Work-from-Home: Flexible working arrangements available, including work-from-home options.

Key Duties

• Lead and manage projects, ensuring compliance with organisational frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Define and manage project requirements, scope, schedules, risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies to guarantee successful project delivery.
• Apply strong project management expertise using methodologies such as waterfall, agile, or hybrid models.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, engaging with suppliers, government bodies, and cross-functional teams in a matrix organisation.
• Respond flexibly to changing project demands, leading project teams through periods of uncertainty and complexity.
• Ensure projects align with government policies, processes, and compliance requirements.
• Effectively negotiate and resolve complex issues that may arise within a project.
  
  

Essential Requirements

• Requirement to obtain a Baseline security clearance.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering digital projects.
• Proficiency in using various project management methodologies (waterfall, agile, hybrid).
• High-level stakeholder management and engagement skills, including negotiating and resolving complex issues.
• Strong understanding of government policies, processes, and compliance requirements.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing projects in a matrix organisation.
• Ability to adapt and lead teams during periods of uncertainty and changing demands.
