About the Role:
WorkPac is currently in search of an Accounts Officer - Assets to join our esteemed client's team based in Port Hedland. This position is Monday to Friday, for a 3-month duration, full time hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage asset processing, including acquisition, disposal, and depreciation.
- Close out capital projects and ensure accurate cost allocation.
- Assist with asset revaluations and collaborate on costings for capitalisation.
- Support month-end reporting and asset reconciliations.
- Provide transactional support and assist with general finance reporting.
- Maintain system updates and train staff on finance procedures.
- Ensure excellent customer service and compliance with safety and record-keeping regulations.
Skills and Experience:
- Prior experience in finance or a similar field, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computerized financial systems.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Relevant qualifications in accounting or a related field (desirable)
- Local government experience (desirable).
