About Us

Parklands Christian College is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the Facilities Management and Workplace Health and Safety function within the College. Parklands Christian College is a growing school located on 45 acres of land on the southern corridor from Brisbane to Beaudesert at Park Ridge, Logan, QLD. We are a Christian, co-educational school of nearing 1000 students (P-12), along with our Early Learning Centre and Outside School Hours Care facilities, and an established set of values that permeate everything to which we aspire. About the Role

The work of the Student Aide will be consistent with the College's mission statement CLEAR values and pedagogy; Cod of Conduct for employees; and published policies, procedures and practices.

The Student Aide uses appropriate knowledge and skills to ensure that students receive quality education and wellbeing support consistent with the Christian faith, achieved through effective assessment, planning and review.

• Actively supporting the faith life of the school
• Ensuring that the teachings, values and practices of the Christian faith form a foundation for learning, teaching and caring for others
• Establishing positive relationships, including engagement in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development
• Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment which is person-centred, supportive, cooperative and aligned with disability policies, documents and practices.
• Collaboratively supporting quality curriculum programs; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and development outcomes; and reporting these to the Learning Enrichment Coordinator.
• Supporting effective, adaptive, inclusive and equitable practices and teaching approaches.
• Proactively and collaboratively engaging in professional renewal practices to enhance student outcomes.
• Develop appropriate relationiships with parents, carers and the wider school community

About YOU

We are looking for someone with:

• Diploma level or higher qualifications in related discipline (i.e. counselling, psychology, behavioural science, teaching) and/or significant experience in a similar role.
• Current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card) for paid employment.
• A current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• A willingness to participate in training for responding to risks of harm, abuse and neglect.
