About the role

JMJ Legal Group Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated Junior Solicitor to join our dynamic team in Browns Plains, Queensland. This full-time role will see you provide expert legal support and advice in the field of property law and conveyancing. As a key member of our growing practice, you will play a vital part in helping our clients navigate the complexities of property transactions with efficiency and care.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting residential and commercial property conveyancing, including contract preparation, exchange, settlement and post-settlement processes
• Drafting and reviewing a variety of legal documents such as contracts, leases, transfers and other relevant paperwork
• Providing professional and personalized advice to clients throughout the conveyancing process
• Conducting thorough property and title searches, and liaising with relevant authorities
• Assisting senior solicitors with more complex property matters as required
• Maintaining detailed client records and ensuring all work is completed to the highest professional standards

What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree
• Admitted as a solicitor in Queensland with 1-3 years' post-admission experience in property law and conveyancing
• Strong working knowledge of property law, conveyancing practices and relevant legislation
• Preferably experience in QLD, NSW, VIC and SA conveyancing
• Excellent communication and client service skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in plain language
• Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines
• Demonstrated experience using legal research databases and conveyancing software
• A genuine passion for property law and a commitment to providing exceptional client service
