At Think Renewable we are looking for an experienced and driven Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with Australian tax and accounting regulations, and supporting financial decision-making within the company. As we expand our impact on renewable energy, you’ll play a key role in managing the financial health of the business, including solar projects, government incentives, and operational costs. Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Recordkeeping: Keep our financial records accurate and organized, from general ledger to accounts payable and receivable. Your attention to detail will help keep us on track.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements on time, making sure they’re spot-on and ready to impress!
• Tax Preparation: Help with the preparation and submission of tax returns, including GST, BAS(Business Activity Statement), and payroll taxes. You’ll ensure we're fully compliant with the local tax laws.
• Reconciliation: Handle monthly and annual reconciliations for accounts such as bank, credit cards, and vendor statements, keeping everything aligned and tidy.
• Budgets & Forecasting: Work closely with the finance team to support budgeting, financial forecasting, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Compliance & Regulations: Keep things above board by ensuring we meet all accounting standards (AASB) and local and national regulations.
• Accounts Management: Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices and payments are processed promptly and accurately.
• Process Improvement: Bring your fresh ideas to the table by suggesting ways to improve our financial systems and processes. We’re always open to making things more efficient!

Required Qualifications:

• Education: You've completed a bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Experience: Previous experience in accounting or a similar role.
• Certifications: Working toward the CPA (Certified Practicing Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant) certification is desirable.

Skills & Attributes:

• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and tax regulations (GST, PAYG).
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
