Ongoing vacancy in Darwin
• Experienced Quality Control & Safety for Cyclotron production.
• Ensure compliance of radiopharmaceutical production.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Apply your experience managing quality and safety procedures for manufacturing radiopharmaceuticals in a clinical setting.
The Cyclotron Facility at the Royal Darwin Hospital (RDH) is a state-of-the-art facility producing radioisotopes used in the Position Emission Tomography (PET) scanner. The Cyclotron is one of the most powerful of its kind in Australia, ensuring locally produced radioisotopes enable faster diagnosis and treatment for Territorians.
NT Health is currently recruiting a Manager Quality Control and Safety (SP1) to oversee the management of Quality and Safety procedures within the Darwin Medical Cyclotron (DMC) facility.
Working in conjunction with the Cyclotron Operations Manager you will ensure the ongoing QA compliance of radiopharmaceutical production to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) level standards.
Your key duties include overseeing the Quality Control of radiopharmaceuticals for release to the Position Emission Tomography (PET) service of the hospital, maintaining pre-existing Quality Management Systems and Quality Assurance programs, and fostering a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership and role modelling.
To be successful you require tertiary qualifications in chemistry, pharmacy or a relevant discipline, proven experience as a mid-level to senior level QC role within a GMP/TGA environment manufacturing radiopharmaceuticals on cyclotron and synthesis modules. Demonstrated leadership and training of junior team members in the QC of radiopharmaceuticals is essential.
