We have opportunities for skilled and detail-orientated individuals to join the team as Pick Packers.

Your primary responsibility will be, but is not limited to, picking finished pet treats after production. You will be handing a variety of pet treats, weighing, quality checking, labelling, packaging, shrink wrapping and sealing product into cartons, ready for distribution.

Located in Ottoway, shifts are across Monday to Friday spanning from 6:00am - 6:00pm.
To be considered:

• Previous experience in a fast paced pick packing role, a must!!
• MUST be able to tolerate handling animal by-products, including pork
• Experience operating industrial machinery, including working from a conveyer line
• Possess strong dexterity and an eye for detail
• Have good numeric and literacy skills
• Clear and concise verbal communication skills
• Must have a high level of physical fitness / strength to perform the inherent requirements of the role
• Be willing to be crossed trained
• Understand Manual Handling Practices and have an awareness of WHS and Food Processing best practice
• Possess a high focus on quality and productively
• Be adaptable and committed
• Be able to work within a team or independently
• MUST have National Police Clearance or be willing to obtain
• MUST have own reliable transport
• Be able to pass strength and agility testing
• Be able to pass literacy and numeracy testing
• Must have or be willing to obtain a National Police Clearence
• Must have or be willing to obtain safety boots

The role:

• Operate and maintain industrial packing machinery, including trolleys and related equipment
• Picking, weighing, quality checking, labeling, sealing and packaging of finished products
• Repetitive manual handling
• Daily cleaning of all machinery and equipment, including general housekeeping
• Adhere to all WHS and Food Processing Policies and Procedures
• Must take direction from the Packing Room Supervisor and / or management
