With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects and exciting growth ahead, we need someone who’s ready to take ownership of the financial operations and make a real impact.
About the Role:
As the Internal Accountant, you’ll be at the heart of the company’s financial health. You’ll collaborate closely with the leadership team, offering valuable financial insights and helping steer the business toward continued success.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Overseeing cash flow, accounts payable, and receivables to keep things running smoothly.
- Managing payroll, superannuation, and ensuring full tax compliance (BAS, GST, PAYG).
- Liaising with external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions to maintain seamless financial operations.
- Preparing monthly management reports and financial statements that inform key decisions.
- Assisting with job costing, project accounting, and providing financial analysis for ongoing projects.
- Managing invoicing and ensuring internal teams are on track with financial reporting.
- Generating accurate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to guide future growth.
- Identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices to streamline processes.
What You’ll Bring:
- CPA/CA qualification (or working towards) is preferred.
- At least five years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction industry.
- A strong understanding of Australian tax compliance and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in MYOB accounting software.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Why Join?
- A Growing Company: Work with a well-established business known for its high-end projects and stable growth.
- Team Environment: Enjoy the support of a close-knit team and direct access to decision-makers.
- Room for Impact: This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to financial strength and be a key part of the business’s continued growth.
- Flexibility: We understand the importance of work-life balance, so we offer flexibility with the option to work 4 to 5 days per week. While we encourage you to work full-time in the office for optimal collaboration, we’re open to discussing flexible arrangements that suit you.
If you’re a proactive, hands-on accountant with a passion for the construction industry and want to be part of a company that values your input, we want to hear from you. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact in a growing business!
