About the Role

• Salary Range 90k-100k Dependent Quals/Experience
• Fulltime 38hrs pw with Immediate Start

This exciting role & opportunity exists at the Stawell meat processing plant, the gateway to the Grampians. Where you'll work with a diverse team who align with our values & are passionate and empowered to perform at pace & achieve big things.

Reporting to the Plant Manager/National Livestock Manager, this position will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day management of our lamb processing operation, ensuring the health and well-being of our animals.

Key responsibilities include

The Livestock Supervisor role is responsible for assisting to ensure all animals sent for slaughter meet the required standards for slaughter in accordance with the quality management system covering company QA processes and DAWR requirements; meeting production targets; ensuring that all work carried out as per the WHS management system requirements. Supervise production employees & coordinate their task allocation in accordance with their knowledge & ability ensuring that they are following WHS & quality procedures.

The Quality Ingredients for Success

Just like our best cuts of meat, there are a few essential qualities that we need and look for in this role:

• Minimum of 1 years of experience in livestock management, preferably in a large-scale farming operation
• Experience with sheep and/or cattle on a large scale
• Knowledge of animal husbandry practices & livestock health management
• Excellent leadership & communication skills
• Proficient in record-keeping & data analysis
• Valid driver's license & reliable transportation
• Working dogs preferred but not essential
