ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

About the role
As an Assistant Director at Rosemont House Montessori, you will play a crucial role in supporting the leadership and operations of our exceptional early childhood education centre located in Norwood SA 5067. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of young minds in a nurturing Montessori environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting the Centre Director in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the centre
  • Supporting the implementation of high quality programs using the Montessori pedagogical approach
  • Fostering a warm and inclusive learning environment for children aged 0-6 years
  • Collaborating with the teaching team to ensure the delivery of high-quality educational programs
  • Maintaining effective communication with families and the broader community
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to other educators

What we're looking for

  • Minimum qualification: Diploma or ECT in Early Childhood Education.
  • Experience in a similar assistant director or leadership role within the early childhood sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • Demonstrated organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • Current first aid and CPR certification, and a valid Working with Children Check

Montessori experience or training is highly-regarded, but not required. Successful applicants who do not have Montessori qualifications will be provided with an initial induction to help you understand the fundamentals and will be approached to undertake further supported study after the first 12 months of your employment. This is an exciting opportunity to learn something new and expand your professional development.
