EDUCATIONAL LEADER/ ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
- Early Childhood Teacher full-time contract position for 2025 (part-time considered) with the possibility of a permanent position becoming available in 2026.

The Role
- Working mostly off the floor 3 days per week as Educational Leader and 2 days as Assistant to the Director.
- Full-time temporary contract position from 28th April to 20th December 2025. Part-time may be considered.
- High possibility of a permanent position becoming available from 2026.
- Assist the Director with administration duties, managing priorities with efficiency to ensure the smooth operation of the centre .
- Support the Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality care and education.
- Take on the role of Responsible Person in the Director's absence, ensuring that all compliance regulations are followed and a child safe environment is maintained.
- Responsible for ensuring an innovative and high quality program is provided in line with the NQF and the preschool's philosophy.
- Ensure documentation contains an ongoing cycle of planning, assessment and evaluation.
- Mentor, inspire and influence educators through support, guidance and critical reflection discussions.
- Contribute effectively to a team environment in a positive manner.
- Build strong relationships with staff, families, children and the wider community.
- Work both independently and collaboratively.
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved).
- A minimum of 2 years experience in an early childhood service is essential and experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
- NESA proficient Teacher Accreditation.
- Current NSW Working with Children Check clearance.
- Current ACECQA approved Senior First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis and Child Protection qualifications.
- Knowledge and capacity to fulfil the role of Responsible Person as required and take on the day management of the service in the absence of the Director.
- Thorough working knowledge of the NQF, EYLF V2.0, Child Protection laws and Child Safe Standards.
- Strong collaborative leadership abilities that display respect, dignity and direction.
- Passionate about implementing a high-quality, child focused and play based program for children.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including competent computer skills.
- Ability to plan, implement and evaluate inclusive educational programs.
- Enthusiastic with a positive, flexible approach to work and professional learning.
- Dedication and commitment to the preschool and a passion for providing a quality early childhood program.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
