ABOUT THE ROLES

We have a vacancy for an experienced Cook. Enjoy a varied role that allows you to use your creativity and cooking to do the talking with our customers.

SALARY RANGE

Cook: $73,150 – $80,000

COOK SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in a similar role.
• Extensive knowledge of cooking techniques and food handling procedures.
• Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Supportive and strong team player.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and presentation.
• Knowledge of kitchen safety, food hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to take direction and work collaboratively with the team.

COOK JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to house recipes.
• Ensure consistency and high-quality presentation of all food items.
• Follow proper food handling and storage procedures.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen at all times.
• Assist in stock rotation and ingredient preservation.
• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and food standard regulations.
• Work as part of a team to ensure efficient kitchen service.
• Assist in planning and preparing function menus when required.
• Minimise food waste and ensure portion control.
• Monitor stock levels and report any shortages.
• Stay up to date with current food trends and contribute ideas to improve the menu.
