As Edge Employment Solutions embarks on a period of transformational growth, we’re seeking a seasoned Head of Corporate Services to join our leadership team and drive innovation and efficiency across our key business functions.
About the Role
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a values-driven organisation, making a meaningful impact in the disability employment sector. As a key member of Edge’s leadership team, the Head of Corporate Services reports directly to the CEO, providing strategic leadership in financial planning and ensuring the organisation’s long-term financial sustainability. This is achieved through excellence in financial and management reporting, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and risk management. The role also works closely with the Board of Directors, supporting financial governance and strategic decision-making.
As the organisation positions itself for rapid scale, your leadership will be vital in adapting financial strategies and operational frameworks to support accelerated growth.
Leading a dedicated Corporate Services team of around seven people, the Head of Corporate Services oversees critical business functions to ensure they operate efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with all relevant statutory obligations, regulations, policies, and organisational directives. These functions include:
- Finance and Payroll
- Financial Systems
- ICT Services
- Asset Management
- Workplace Health and Safety
- Office Administration
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership in financial planning and contribute to the organisation’s financial sustainability.
- Work closely with the CEO and Board to support financial governance and strategic decision-making.
- Lead and manage a small Corporate Services team, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Accountability for accountancy, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and associated record-keeping and administrative requirements.
- Maintain the integrity and effective utilisation of financial systems to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Oversee the provision and maintenance of ICT support services, applications, infrastructure, and equipment. Act as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), managing cybersecurity strategy and risk.
- Manage purchasing, property, fleet, and other organisational assets.
- Oversee WHS policies, procedures, and compliance to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure office operations and business administration functions support organisational efficiency.
About You
Qualifications and Experience
- A relevant bachelor’s degree and professional qualification in accounting or finance (CA or CPA).
- A minimum of 5 years' experience managing corporate services functions, including finance, risk, ICT, asset management, workplace health and safety, and office management.
- Significant experience in financial management within a comparable or larger for-purpose entity.
- Experience in leading and managing building and maintenance projects.

- Strong ability to think strategically, develop plans, and implement them effectively.
- Proven ability to lead effectively and flexibly in dynamic environments.
- Proven capability to lead, manage and deploy multi-disciplinary teams to achieve organisational goals.
- Proven success in implementing change and driving continuous improvement.
- In-depth understanding of governance and regulatory requirements in a not-for-profit organisation.
- Ability to drive accountability and establish effective performance measurement frameworks at both individual and organisational levels.
- A results-driven approach with the ability to identify and seize opportunities for improving both short- and long-term performance.
- Proven capability in fostering strong relationships and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to inform decisions, strategy, and planning.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, make decisions independently, and take initiative when needed.
- Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present comprehensive reports to the Board of Directors.
- Accountability in managing contracts effectively, ensuring compliance and performance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage workflows, balancing competing priorities while maintaining efficiency.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in office computing applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint).
You’ll also need:
- Full Australian working rights and ability to satisfy national police check and NDIS Worker Screening requirements.
- Current Western Australian C class driving license.
