About the role
Forage Gourmet Edibles is seeking an experienced Production Horticulture Supervisor to join our team who has a passion for the industry and can work in a fast paced environment to produce high quality produce for our customers. This full-time role will be based at our farm in Mangrove Mountain, NSW.

What you'll be doing

• Working closely with the Business Owner to ensure the daily operations are being managed to the highest of standards in our production greenhouses, packing shed, seedling nursery and growing fields
• Monitoring and maintaining optimal growing conditions, including irrigation, climate control, pest & weed control and the hydroponics system
• Coordinating pulling, planting, seeding, picking and packing
• Supervising and training a team of horticulture labourers to ensure efficient and effective operations
• Troubleshooting issues and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
• Quality control and production of all plant stock
• Ensure a clean, safe and organised farm environment
• Assistance with building projects and general farm duties as required

What we're looking for

• Experience in the Horticulture Industry
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to meet timelines and manage workloads
• Self motivated, energetic and a team player
• Attention to detail, structured and well organised
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks
• Honest, reliable and eager to learn and develop within the industry
• Weekend farm checks on rotation
• A tertiary qualification in horticulture, agriculture or a related field is desirable but not essential
