We have been established for over 30 years in the Horticulture industry.

We specialise in indoor plants and garden displays for an extensive list of corporate, high profile companies and commercial clients.

We grow plants mainly for our own business use. We pride ourselves on high-quality plants and sustainable practices.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The successful candidate will manage the plant growing (initially to cover maternity leave, estimated 12 to 18 months), and will be involved in the organising & carrying out of maintenance, plant care & growing side of our nursery.

THE ROLE

1. Work with and further improve existing production plans
2. Supervise and manage plant propagation
3. Facilitate growing progression
4. Pest and Disease Identification and controls
5. Order materials
6. Manage irrigation levels, repairs and changes
7. Communication & collaboration is an important part of this role
8. Uphold our WH&S standards
9. Quality assurance
10. Manage and delegate nursery staff (up to 6)
11. Work along side & report to Business Operations Manager & other departments
12. Preparation of stock for display at client sites (largely for our own use)
13. Liaise with other managers
14. Use of maintenance software to log progress, iOs & Windows
15. Handle small amount of sales enquiries and customers
16. Assist with other company functions from time to time

REQUIREMENTS

• Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor in Horticulture
• Experience working in a wholesale nursery (extensive experience may replace certificate)
• Chemcert qualification or similar
• Computer literate, especially Windows, iOs and email
• May suit end stage Apprentice in Nursery/ Horticulture seeking to step up
• Own transport to and from Nursery (public transport is limited)
