Make an impact at Serco
As a Medical Administrator in the Health Service team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of healthcare administration. You will be responsible for managing patient health records, coordinating administrative tasks, and supporting the healthcare team in delivering high-quality services. This is a full-time role within a multidisciplinary environment where attention to detail and confidentiality are key.

As a Medical Administrator in the Health Service team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Managing and maintaining patient health records in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Ensuring confidentiality and security of health records and sensitive information
  • Assisting with administrative duties, including receptionist tasks and telephone enquiries
  • Supporting the Manager of Health Services with various administrative functions
  • Providing orientation and support for new staff members
  • Assisting with project management, quality improvement, and policy development

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • Strong administrative and clerical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team within a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to prioritise competing workload demands and manage time effectively
  • Commitment to professional and ethical standards, including confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Understanding of professional, ethical, and legal requirements in a healthcare setting
