Southern Cross Catholic College is a Prep to Year 12 school offering families a co-educational pathway to life-long learning. Southern Cross Catholic College, Woody Point is recruiting 2 passionate and talented School Officers (Teacher Aide) to work in our primary (Prep - Yr. 6) campus. These positions are for a 2024 Fixed Term contract, Hours: 8:40-1:10, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Duties include:

• general classroom support;
• preparation of resources and clearing learning materials;
• using technology to support learning activities; and administrative duties such as photocopying and filing.

The successful applicant will:

• be able to work as part of a team, in collaboration with teachers and other school officers;
• know how to support student learning and work with Prep - Yr 6 students;
• have a calm and positive disposition;
• interest and skill in supporting students with additional needs - pervious experience is desirable; and
• relevant study, such as a Cert. 3 or Cert. 4 in Education Support (or similar) is desirable.

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

• hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
• be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
• have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
