FlyPelican is a Regional Airline and Aircraft Charter company based in Newcastle on the east coast of Australia operating a fleet of 19 seat British Aerospace Jetstream 32 aircraft.

Currently operating regular scheduled passengers within NSW, QLD, ACT and also Charter services anywhere within Australia.

We are looking for a B1 LAME & AME to join our growing team in Newcastle NSW, based in our Part 145 base maintenance hangar at Williamtown Airport.

B1 LAME & AME Duties

• Perform and certify for aircraft maintenance activities in base and line maintenance environments.
• Maintain and promote a safe work environment.
• Liaise and communicate effectively with Engineering Manager to maintain compliance with regulations and the Fly Pelican Engineering PART 145 AMO Exposition.
• Supervise Apprentices and AMEs
• Travel to ports operated to by FlyPelican for defect rectification and AOG situations.
• Timely and effectively manage the return to service of aircraft after line maintenance and base maintenance activities.

B1 LAME Desirable skills

• Hold a current B1 Part 66 licence, ideally with BAE Jetstream 31 / 32 type rating or similar turboprop aircraft
• Have current or previous experience on BAE J31 / 32 OR current experience on similar turboprop aircraft
• Have experience and or rating on Honeywell TPE331 engines
• CAT C licence an advantage
• Previous experience in line maintenance
• Sound CASR Part 66, 145 and MOS knowledge
• Developed troubleshooting and communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy of work
• Hold a current driver’s licence
• Have the ability to hold an ADA
• Have the ability to hold an ASIC
• Comply with DAMP policy

AME Desirable skills

• Hold a current Cert IV in Aeroskills
• Have current or previous experience on turboprop aircraft
• Have experience on Honeywell TPE331 engines or similar turboprop engines
• CASR Part 66, 145 and MOS knowledge
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy of work
• Hold a current driver’s licence
• Have the ability to hold an ADA
• Have the ability to hold an ASIC
• Comply with DAMP policy

Staff travel is available.

Normal working hours are four 10 hour days between Monday - Friday from 8am to 6pm with a rostered day off each week. No shift work with minimal weekend work and overtime.

LAME starting salary to be negoiated between $125,000 to $140,000 + Super

AME starting salary to be negoiated between $65,000 to $75,000 + Super
