About the role

We are seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to join our team in our Ashfield, NSW office. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in evaluating and improving the effectiveness of our organisation's risk management, control, and governance processes.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting comprehensive internal audits across various departments and functions to identify risks and opportunities for improvement
• Documenting audit findings, providing detailed reports, and making recommendations to management
• Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement corrective action plans
• Monitoring the implementation of audit recommendations and evaluating their effectiveness
• Staying up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices
• Contributing to the continuous enhancement of our internal audit processes and procedures

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of experience in internal auditing, preferably within the Accounting industry
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and risk management frameworks
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely
• Proficiency in using audit software and data analysis tools
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certification (e.g., CIA, CPA) is highly desirable
