An exciting opportunity for an Auditor has come about at the Legal Practice Board (Board). There is currently one permanent full time vacancy to be filled from this recruitment process.

The Board is a statutory body, responsible for the regulation of legal services in Western Australia and all Western Australian legal practitioners.

The Board aims to be a leader in the area of regulation and we pride ourselves on working with our stakeholders to ensure we have an engaged, active, competent, and ethical legal profession.

About the role

Reporting to the Director Risk Mitigation and Review, this position works collaboratively as a member of the Risk Mitigation and Review team to provide independent and objective support in the provision of investigations, examinations and audits of the regulatory affairs of law practices, in line with best practice and regulatory requirements. The position is responsible for undertaking independent investigations, examinations and audit activities, evaluates the significance of findings and recommends an appropriate course of action in line with review and audit assurance requirements and to maintain public confidence in the legal profession’s regulatory system.

Future vacancies may be considered fixed term, permanent, part-time or full-time.
