Zymus is a fast-growing company committed to delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring our customers receive top-quality products on time. To support our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Customer Service Officer to join our Sydney-based team.
This role plays a vital part in our Customer Service Team, working closely with internal teams, customers, and external service providers to ensure smooth purchasing, logistics, and customer support for imports, exports, and deliveries. This role also involves job share of Warehouse responsibilities - unloading and loading trucks as well as picking orders for despatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage customer orders, ensuring timely confirmations and updates.
- Verify customer sales orders for accuracy in pricing, quantities, and product details.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, and warehouse teams to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Maintain strong relationships with third-party service providers for seamless logistics.
- Outgoing, pick, pack, prepare and dispatch products for delivery to customers.
- Incoming, receive, inspect against inwards goods records.
- Provide regular order updates and tracking information to customers.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and contribute to process improvements.
- Assist in purchasing activities for stock holding and indent orders.
- Conduct periodic internal audits on processes and documentation.
- Manage customer and product data across internal systems, ensuring accuracy.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries promptly and professionally.
What You Bring
- Proven experience in customer service, preferably within logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—clear, professional, and customer-focused.
- Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail for accurate order processing and data management.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive and adaptable approach.
- Experience or confident to unload and load trucks
Technical & System Skills
- ERP & Order Management Systems: Experience with SAP, Exchequer, NetSuite, or similar.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRMs).
- Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word for reporting and documentation.
- Freight & Logistics Systems: Understanding of tracking and coordinating deliveries.
- Quality Management Systems (QMS): Knowledge of process compliance and documentation management.
