Role: Senior Data and Reporting Analyst
Role type: Temporary full time opportunity for 2 years
Salary: DCS clerk grade 9/10, annual base salary starting at (125,693 - $138,510) plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the Role:
Cyber Security NSW is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join the Strategic Advisory Team in Sydney. We are looking for candidates with strong organisational and analytical skills to coordinate and support cyber security initiatives and commitments.
Key Accountabilities:
- Coordinate the end-to-end all-of-Government cyber security policy reporting, including stakeholder management and analysis
- Provide advice and recommendations based on policy reporting data
- Develop reporting on themes and trends informed by data
- Identify areas of collaboration and data sharing across the branch for new areas of analysis and exploration
- Support a strategic program of work that will lead, and contribute to, improved compliance and cyber security data practices across government agencies
- Identify, interpret, and analyse data using linking and statistical techniques to identify trends and patterns in data sets, and create inferences or insights.
- Produce reports, briefings, visualisations, and recommendations that provide advice to Senior Leaders to support cyber security initiatives and service delivery.
- Build and maintain productive working relationships with stakeholders through consultation, responsive advice, and service to ensure data and reporting materials aligns with stakeholder needs.
- Coordinate information collection for reporting, monitoring, and evaluation purposes to contribute to the achievement of Branch outcomes.
- Support the continuous improvement of NSW Cyber Security Policy reporting to enable data driven prioritisation of cyber security uplift initiatives across the sector.
- Support the continuous improvement and management of reporting platforms used by the team including our reporting portal, JIRA, and Salesforce CRM
About You
To be successful in the role you will:
- Be reliable, flexible, and have a positive work ethic.
- Proactively manage your own workload and tasks.
- Have excellent organizational skills and experience in managing multiple small projects, particularly across the data lifecycle
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, including being able to communicate complex data insights and advice, and make recommendations to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Be adept at building and maintaining stakeholder relationships and presenting insights for strategic decision-making.
- Have experience in research and proficiency with BI tools and data visualisation (including Tableau)
- High level of proficiency in Office 365
- A sound understanding of cyber security governance, risk and compliance
- Hold appropriate tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience in relevant roles
- Previous public sector experience is highly regarded.
Essential Requirements of the Role: Be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline National Security Clearance and pass a police check.
