Location: Sydney NSW

About Adaca

Adaca was founded in 2015 to assist Australian companies in their software development initiatives. Over the past 10 years, we have successfully built and scaled a distributed team across Australia and the Philippines to over 100 staff.

Our authentic, values led approach has allowed us to attract and retain magnificent people.

Adaca’s team in Australia is lean, with a network of partners that has catalysed our growth. This emphasises the importance of individuals in our Sydney office, who each hold the ability to influence the growth of the business.

We are seeking a growth-oriented and proactive Account Manager to join our team in Sydney. This role is crucial in driving the success of our business by building trusted partnerships with our customers and fostering long-term relationships.

The ideal candidate is a highly personable individual who thrives on connecting with others, acting as a trusted advisor to clients. With a focus on "land and expand" strategies, they excel in building upon existing relationships to unlock opportunities for growth while adding value. If you're passionate about building trust, fostering partnerships, and contributing to a collaborative and dynamic environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building and managing strong relationships with clients, acting as their trusted advisor and primary point of contact.
  • Identifying opportunities to expand client partnerships through "land and expand" strategies.
  • Proactively reaching out to clients and identifying ways to expand client accounts and drive growth.
  • Preparing and delivering compelling presentations, proposals, and follow-ups to meet client needs.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and services.
  • Monitoring client satisfaction and identifying ways to enhance the partnership experience.

Who You’ll Work With

You will be working within a nimble team including the business’ founder and the chief executive officer, who you’ll report to. The founder describes himself as family oriented, values driven, having a growth mindset, and caring about holistic wellness. The chief executive officer describes himself as someone who is adaptable and strategic, who fosters a culture of innovation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in account management or an equivalent role within the software development, IT staffing, or technical services industries.
  • Proven success in selling software development staffing solutions, managed services, or equivalent offerings.
  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding revenue and growth targets.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish trust and act as a trusted advisor to clients.
  • Expertise in "land and expand" strategies to grow existing accounts and build long-term partnerships.
  • Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into tailored staffing or development team solutions.
  • Strong consultative selling skills, with experience selling to software engineering organisations or enterprise clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to craft and deliver persuasive proposals and presentations.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales pipeline management for effective opportunity tracking and forecasting.

Plus:

  • Understanding of software development methodologies, team structures, and industry trends.
  • Experience in offshore or nearshore development services, with the ability to position these as a value-add to clients.
  • Background in collaborating with internal delivery teams to align solutions with client needs.
  • Knowledge of key industries utilising outsourced development, such as manufacturing, finance, and technology.

Desired Skills

  • Proactive and growth-focused with a results-driven mindset
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills
  • Flexible, adaptable, and client-centric approach
  • Professional, credible, and highly personable
  • Detail-oriented with a strategic outlook

We offer a flexible hybrid working arrangement and opportunities for professional development. If you thrive in a constantly evolving environment and excel at promoting and growing teams, we'd love to hear from you.
