About the role

Melbourne Underground is seeking a skilled and experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. This full-time role is based in our Melbourne Depot, where you will play a crucial part in our construction projects across Victoria.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators in a safe and efficient manner on construction sites
• Perform earthworks, trenching, and site preparation tasks
• Excavate and install conduits safely around existing services.
• Maintain and clean machinery as required
• Work in compliance with safety protocols and industry standards
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met

Skills and Experience:

• Excavator Operator License
• HR Truck License
• White Card (Construction Induction)
• Previous experience in operating excavators on construction or civil sites
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and machinery maintenance
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
