Job Summary:

As a Payroll and Administration Officer at FDM, you will be responsible for processing weekly payroll for the Australian & New Zealand workforce of approximately 150 team members. You will also ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company requirements while maintaining data integrity within the Employment Hero system. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of payroll experience in a related role and knowledge of ANZ regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- This Operational role will see the Payroll and Administration Officer report into the Financial Controller, and will be responsible for the following:

- Processing weekly payroll for ANZ workforce

- Working knowledge of Australian and NZ payroll and award environments

- Prepare manual payroll adjustments and calculations as required

- Support process improvements initiatives and manage audit procedures in collaboration with wider finance team

- Ongoing review of data integrity within “Employment Hero” payroll system

- Manage Team member leave records and associated reporting

- Drive customer service with timely and informed query resolution

- Assist the Financial Controller in reviewing, updating, and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company requirements

- Work with internal and external stakeholders, including third party vendors

- Month end and year end reporting including GL reconciliations

- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including tax filing, superannuation, and other relevant obligations

- Prepare and submit payroll-related reports to management and regulatory authorities

- Coordinate and manage the purchase of office supplies and consumable items.

- Assist the HR Manager in organizing company events, meetings, and training sessions

- Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Financial Controller or other members of the management team

- Provide support to other departments when required

Skills Required:

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills

- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities

- Studies in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Preferred)

- 2-3 + years Payroll experience in a related role

- Broad knowledge of policies, payroll and ANZ regulatory requirements

- Employment Hero (Payroll and HR systems) experience is advantageous

- Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office applications, especially Excel

Qualifications:

- A certificate in Accounting/Finance or any related field is preferred but not required
