About the Role

We are looking for a Support Officer to join our team at our incredible team at the Eight Mile Plains office. Our Support Officers are essential part of our everyday operations, and your passion, motivation and customer service expertise is paramount to the success of the team and our work supporting the community! Our Eight Mile Plains team are ground in good practice, excellence of customer service with compassion and respect.

This position will provide all levels of administration support to the NDIS Program team and reception duties. This includes welcoming, providing information to participants, families, and carers, as their first point of contact with the organisation. Our future Superstar will have extremely high attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst dealing with competing priorities, experience in dealing with the community, and strong IT skills.

Things to consider:

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining appropriate administrative records utilising our databases.
  • Using the NDIA IT System to record appointments, notes, and actions to ensure the development and maintenance of accurate data.
  • Scheduling participant contact and interviews.
  • Provide a professional and welcoming customer service experience to all participants, carers, families and visitors who attend at site
  • Schedule and prepare meeting rooms, materials and equipment as required
  • Organise venues and catering for meetings, training sessions & events as required
  • Providing general information in response to participant enquiries and refer to appropriate internal stakeholders when required.

Do you have?

  • Demonstrated experience providing administrative and/or reception support in the Community Services industry, e.g. medical reception, call centre, child services, aged care, etc?
  • High level of communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to build rapport and adapt skills according to the audience or target group involved?
  • The skills to be a team player and someone who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment?
  • The ability to triage and prioritise work tasks?
  • Experience/knowledge at entering information into databases with a high level of accuracy and detail whilst adhering to Government reporting requirements?
