Holy Spirit College is a Catholic co-educational secondary school located in the rapidly developing suburb of Fitzgibbon in North Brisbane, approximately 15km from Brisbane City. The College opened in January 2022 with 96 Year 7 students and will increase by one year level each year until it reaches Year 12. We currently have 450 students from years 7-10.

The School Finance Coordinator is responsible for providing strategic advice and managing administration, financial matters and daily operations across the school. Working closely with the Finance team and other stakeholders you will provide high level support to deliver on operational targets.
Oversee the development, maintenance and operations of relevant systems and resources and recommend improvements to processes and procedures.
• Coordinate general day to day tasks, monitoring workloads, promoting teamwork, skill development, and a sense of pride in the school.
• Develop and interpret legislation, regulations, procedures and other guideline material relating to financial operations within the school.
• Prepare and maintain procurement activities including overseeing budget administration, and activities.
• Review, develop and implement processes and systems that enable effective management consistent with the school’s strategic and operational objectives.
• Contribute to the school’s strategic and operational plans by reviewing legislation, regulations, initiatives and policies and providing recommendations.
• Work closely with our families to ensure the collection of school fees in a timely manner.
• As a member of the Finance team, your focus will be Accounts Receivable as well as assisting the current School Finance Coordinator with daily, weekly and monthly finance related tasks eg End of Month reporting and reconciliation of prepaid cards.
• Knowledge of Brisbane Catholic Education financial packages and processes is not essential however, it may be an advantage.
• General administration functions as directed by the Business Manager.
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
