What can you expect?
You will play a key role in implementing marketing strategies and the delivery of engaging, accessible and user-centred content for a variety of channels including the range of digital channels such as websites, social media platforms and e-newsletters.
Reporting directly to the General Manager of Marketing, this role requires a dynamic and proactive individual who can develop and deliver high-quality digital content that aligns with our mission and brand values.
Planning and delivery
- Execute and support the digital marketing strategy set by the General Manager of Marketing to drive brand awareness, audience engagement, and community growth.
- Ensure key messaging for campaigns and events is clear and impactful.
- Work alongside the events coordinator to ensure that content is developed to support campaigns.
- Create a workflow for requests for the wider business to assist in the planning and delivery of content.
Content creation and channels
- Develop high-quality engaging and accessible written, visual, and video content that aligns with Bus Stop Films’ mission and values.
- Manage website updates, blog posts, and content for SEO optimisation.
- Capture and edit video and photography content to be used across digital channels.
- Ensure all content meets accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive communication best practices.
- Create, manage, and schedule engaging content across all digital platforms, including social media, email newsletters, websites, TikTok and YouTube.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of digital advertising campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Oversee the day-to-day management of Bus Stop Films’ social media accounts, ensuring consistent brand messaging and engagement.
- Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Work with the Product Marketing Coordinator to develop and create product assets and materials.
Analytics and Reporting
- Track, analyse and report on the performance of digital campaigns and social media activities to the General Manager of Marketing.
- Provide monthly reports with key insights and recommendations for improvement to the General Manager of Marketing.
- Keep up to date with digital marketing trends and best practices.
- Ensure that the metrics of success set by the General Manager of Marketing are kept up to date and remain accurate.
Other duties as reasonably required
- Respond to basic marketing inquiries and coordinate communications with external stakeholders.
- Assist the Events Coordinator if and when required
- Administration and event support when required.
- Other duties as requested.
- Data, record keeping and CRM management
- Some weekend work may be required.
What are we looking for?
This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented, and delivery-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to make a difference in the not-for-profit and creative industries.
- 1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related role.
- Degree in Marketing or digital design
- Experience using digital tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, and WordPress.
- Basic knowledge of marketing analytics and reporting tools.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and Google Ads.
- Demonstrated level of knowledge for metrics and reporting
- Strong understanding of social media, email marketing, and accessible content creation.
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable, and at certain times work with others in the organisation to “get the work done”. This may, at times, require attendance out of hours (i.e. weekend work, at nights), or to perform reasonable tasks as directed by the CEO or COO, that may not be usual” to the role.
- Demonstrated ability to “think on feet” and find solutions to problems as they arise. Ability to think “out of the box”.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness and ability to work with others in the team in harmony, demonstrating respect in all areas of dealing with students, support workers, tutors, volunteers, other team members.
