Role Overview
The Social Media Specialist / Marketing Content Creator will be responsible for managing client social media platforms, developing and implementing marketing strategies, analysing performance metrics, and creating compelling content. The ideal candidate is proactive, personable, and highly engaged, with strong time management skills and the ability to work within set budgets. Experience in SEO is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management:
- Manage, schedule, and monitor multiple client social media accounts to maintain a cohesive brand identity.
- Develop community engagement strategies to foster audience interaction and growth.
- Monitor social media trends, industry updates, and platform algorithm changes.
Digital Marketing Strategy:
- Create and execute tailored social media and digital marketing strategies for clients.
- Align marketing strategies with client goals, target audience, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to enhance overall marketing efforts.
Content Creation:
- Design and produce engaging multimedia content, including graphics, short-form videos, and written posts.
- Craft compelling copy that aligns with each client’s brand voice and mission.
- Optimise content for social media platforms and websites to maximise reach and engagement.
Analytics & Optimisation:
- Track and analyse social media and website performance using tools like Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and other reporting platforms.
- Provide regular insights and reports to improve content performance and engagement.
- Adjust strategies based on data-driven insights to enhance ROI.
Website Content Management:
- Maintain and update website content for accuracy, relevance, and alignment with marketing campaigns.
- Optimise website content for SEO best practices to improve search rankings.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, and content creation.
- Experience managing multiple clients or brands is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Must have a strong understanding of social media platforms, scheduling tools, and analytics (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Google Analytics, etc.).
- Be able to work efficiently in Meta Business
- Proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
Personal Skills & Attributes:
- Highly engaged, proactive, and personable. Able to build relationships with clients and team members.
- Excellent eye for aesthetics and design, ensuring brand consistency across all content. Strong understanding of visual style, brand colour cohesion, typography, and tone of voice to maintain brand identity across platforms.
- Strong time management and organisational skills. Able to work efficiently within budgeted hours.
- Creative and detail-oriented with a passion for storytelling and digital trends.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Able to adapt to new technologies quickly
Highly Desirable Skills:
- SEO – Understanding of on-page and off-page SEO strategies to improve search rankings.
- Video Editing – Proficiency in editing short-form and long-form videos for social media, including knowledge of tools like Adobe Premiere Pro
- Photography – Ability to capture high-quality images for social media and digital marketing campaigns, with an eye for composition, lighting, and brand aesthetics.
