About the role

As a Facilities Technician at Greystar Australia Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive maintenance and repair services to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our South Yarra, VIC property. This full-time role is a crucial part of our facilities management team, contributing to the overall comfort and satisfaction of our residents.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety equipment
• Respond to and resolve maintenance requests from residents in a timely manner
• Perform general handyman duties such as minor repairs, painting, and general maintenance
• Liaise with external contractors and vendors to coordinate larger maintenance projects
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and work orders
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment for residents and staff

What we're looking for

• Experience in a similar facilities maintenance or handyperson role, preferably in the residential property management industry
• Strong working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
• Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including occasional weekends and on-call duties
• Basic carpentry, painting, and other handyman skills
