Breakfast Cook – Job Description

The General Cafe is a residential/industrial Cafe in Altona North that operates Monday- Friday 6am- 3pm. We are looking for an experienced breakfast cook to work Mon-Fri early start/early finish.

This role is perfect for those who enjoy having afternoons/evenings and weekends off. We are looking for someone to join our team permanent part time, starting at 5.30am 5 days a week.

The candidate should have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role and who has experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications & experience

• At least 2 years' experience working in a kitchen.

• Food and Safety Supervisor Certificate is a must.

• MUST BE RELIABLE

Tasks & responsibilities

• Basic- Moderate Cooking and Food Preparation

• - following prep list and completing efficiently - cooking breakfast: bacon/eggs (fried/poached/scrambled essential) - sandwich making - basic baking incl; cakes, slices, muffins, cookies - ordering stock

• Food Safety in the Kitchen, Following Council Food Safety guidelines

• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen

• Assist in Food Costings and Wastage
