We are seeking dedicated individuals ready to take on dynamic and impactful roles, where the work you do will make a difference. Join the AFP and experience a career that offers flexibility and multiple pathways for progression.

As a PSO, you will detect, deter and disrupt any criminal activity and respond to criminal and national security threats. Your role will include:

On successful completion of training, you will be awarded a Certificate IV in Protective Services. Following graduation from the AFP College, PSOs are paid a starting salary of $75,960 per annum. This is inclusive of a base salary and 22% composite. Penalties and overtime are paid in addition.

As a Police Officer, you'll investigate and prevent crime to keep Australia, and Australian interests overseas, safe. Your day-to-day work will be challenging and rewarding, including:

• working on complex investigations, often with international partners,
• using information and evidence to determine the appropriate law-enforcement response,
• interviewing witnesses and suspects,
• collecting, preparing and presenting evidence to the courts,
• working across teams, alongside people in the many different roles in the AFP,
• collaborating with other police forces, at home and abroad.

AFP Police officers get paid to train at the AFP College over 24 weeks, including meals and accommodation. On successful completion of training, you will be awarded a Diploma of Policing. Following graduation from the AFP College, Police Officers will receive a starting salary of $81,181 per annum. This is inclusive of a base salary and 22% composite.
