About the Role
As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide advanced assessment and intervention strategies to manage patient care at the highest level. You’ll be an integral part of promoting rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates while maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Providing advanced nursing care, including prescribing medications (particularly on weekends when GPs are unavailable).
- Conducting patient assessments and developing health management plans.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.
- Embedding Serco’s operating principles: rehabilitation, safety, and respect.
What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking candidates who are passionate, experienced, and ready to make an impact.
Essential Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
- Master of Nursing Practice with Nurse Practitioner endorsement (NMBA).
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
- Ability to pass a security clearance.
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (Dose 1 & 2 mandatory).
Desirable Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in an advanced nursing role.
- Background in primary health, emergency care, or corrections is highly regarded.
- Skilled in patient assessments, care planning, and discharge management.
