About the Role

As the Head of Engineering, you will report directly to the CTO and play a pivotal role in scaling the engineering function to support rapid product and sales growth. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will:

• Mentor and manage a team of Engineers, Integration Specialists and QAs while collaborating with offshore teams.
• Drive product development, oversee platform replatforming and modernisation efforts, and ensure effective delivery across multiple projects.
• Work closely with the GM, product, and support teams to prioritise work, articulate technical and product roadmaps, and optimise team performance.
• Balance technical involvement, including solution design and architecture guidance, with leadership responsibilities.

Skills and Experience

• Experienced software engineering leader with a strong SaaS background, particularly in data-driven platforms.
• .NET experience is preferred.
• Hands-on and delivery-focused leadership style with the ability to mentor and inspire teams.
• Familiarity with cloud and dedicated infrastructure setups.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for team management and presenting to the board.

Beneficial Skills:

• Exposure to SaaS, logistics (TMS/WMS), or technology-focused businesses.
• Experience with monolithic/large applications.
• Exposure to hosting on legacy environments.
• Experience scaling teams and processes to support growth.
