Our client is a global food manufacturing business that has been investing heavily through their strong financial backing. This role as the Engineering & Reliability Manager will lead all capital and R&M within one of their largest facilities. With a highly capable leadership team reporting into you the key to success in this role will be developing and fostering a strong culture and management systems. You will work closely and build strong relationships across the Senior leadership group within the plant with the common goal of achieving the efficient, cost-effective production of high-quality products, while ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees.

The Role

Reporting into the Plant Director you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring compliance with OH&S policies and procedures to safeguard employee safety in all activities.
• Maintain a steady flow of production, ensuring products meet the right quality, quantity, and on-time delivery.
• Optimize machine utilization and operational efficiency.
• Oversee engineering planning, performance measurement, and alignment with production goals.
• Lead and motivate the engineering team to meet KPIs and continuously improve performance.
• Ensure proper maintenance and operation of machinery and equipment, meeting production and safety standards.
• Manage capital works projects, ensuring completion within scope, on time, and on budget.
• Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve any nonconformities related to products, processes, and quality systems.
• Administer performance management, training, and development of engineering staff.
• Support the implementation of site-wide Food Safety Culture and ensure adherence to HACCP and Quality procedures.

Your Background:

To be considered for this role you will have the following skills & experience:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering, preferably in a fast-paced FMCG environment, with a focus on high-quality product distribution.
• Relevant qualifications in Engineering or Manufacturing (preferably in the Food Industry) and HACCP training/certification.
• Experience in capital projects and contractor management.
• Expertise in developing & implementing Asset Management principles, reliability systems & processes.
• A strong commitment to employee safety, process improvements, and performance metrics.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively at all organizational levels.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
