About the role

Commencing mid-March, St Michael's Collegiate School is seeking a Part-time Residential School Boarding House Supervisor to join our team in Hobart, Tasmania. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and supervision of our boarding students, contributing to a nurturing and supportive living environment.

What you'll be doing

• Providing pastoral care and monitoring the wellbeing of boarding students
• Supervising daily routines, meals, and recreational activities in the boarding house
• Implementing and enforcing boarding house policies and procedures
• Effectively communicating with students, parents, and school staff
• Assisting with the organisation and supervision of weekend and evening activities
• Ensuring a safe, secure, and well-maintained boarding environment
• Promoting a positive and inclusive boarding community

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a similar boarding or residential supervisory role
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Commitment to the wellbeing and pastoral care of young people
• First aid qualifications or willingness to obtain them
• A valid Working with Vulnerable People (Children) registration
