Heyday Clinic operates three vibrant practice locations in the heart of Warragul and Korumburra - two of Australia's fastest-growing regional areas, and the other in St Kilda Road, Melbourne. We are a dynamic, growing practice currently comprising five clinicians and dedicated admin support, co-located with other health professionals.
We specialise in:
- Workplace psychology (burnout, performance, critical incident management)
- Acute stress and Return to Work (RTW) counselling
- Counselling for adults and adolescents including assessment services
- Practical, creative therapeutic interventions for a wide variety of other mental health presentations

Role Overview
We're seeking a passionate Psychologist who thrives on meaningful client connections and professional growth. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent team building skills with experience in mental health clinical services an advantage.
Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills and initiative with proven ability to work autonomously as well as an ability to work with limited direction, be self-motivated, and provide effective problem-solving and negotiation skills.
You're proactive, flexible, and resilient and happy to work autonomously, use your initiative, and have a high attention to detail.
You will be a Psychologist who has registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Psychologist.
Successful applicants for this position may be eligible for an incentive payment for rent, childcare, relocation costs and more, as part of the new workforce and incentive grants program administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV).
Essential Qualifications:
- Registered Psychologist with AHPRA (ideally 2 years experience.
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications and:
In order to be eligible for this role you will be required to provide or be willing to undertake the following:
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- NDIS Worker Screening
- Criminal History Check
Preferred Experience:
- Understanding of different referral schemes including NDIS, WorkCover, EAP, TAC, VOCAT, MHCP
- Assessment skills in Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disability - advantage but not essetntial
- Deep expertise in another area of specialisation (e.g. young people, couples, geriatric populations would be ideal but not essential - we'd look to support your interests)
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual client therapy via multiple referral pathways
- Liaise effectively with referrers including written and verbal feedback
- Perform comprehensive risk assessments and safety planning
- Demonstrate advanced communication skills
- Utilise practice management software (Heyday Clinic uses PowerDiary)

- In-clinic sessions
- Telehealth consultations
- Home/community/school visits (with strict safety protocols)

- Flexible work arrangements - in clinic, telehealth, home community visits and flexible hours
- No after-hours or on-call expectations
