Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Clinical Psychologist or Clinical Registrar to join our team as a contractor with either 3 or 4 days a week commitment. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about working with clients presenting with Eating Disorders, Complex Trauma, and Neurodiversity. You will provide individual therapy, assessments, and tailored interventions, helping clients navigate life’s challenges and achieve meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality psychological assessments, interventions, and evidence-based therapies, particularly for clients presenting with Eating Disorders, Complex Trauma, and Neurodiversity.
• Develop and implement personalised treatment plans, ensuring a client-centred and collaborative approach.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in team meetings and case discussions to enhance client outcomes and professional development.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards as outlined by AHPRA and relevant professional bodies.
• Engage in continuous professional development and supervision to maintain best practices.

Requirements

• Full registration as a Clinical Psychologist or a fully registered Clinical Registrar with AHPRA.
• Professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
• ABN for contracting purposes.
• Experience or strong interest in working with Eating Disorders, Complex Trauma, and Neurodiversity.
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, ACT, DBT, Schema Therapy, or EMDR.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to ethical practice and cultural sensitivity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable Attributes

• Experience with Telehealth and digital health platforms.
• Training or interest in neurodivergent-affirming practices.
• Training or interest in working with clients presenting with eating disorders.
• Passion for working with diverse client populations, including adolescents, young adults, and adults.
• Training in EMDR Therapy
• Training in Schema Therapy
• Training in Internal Family Systems Therapy
