About Us
We are a caring, professional family of five looking for a warm, proactive and highly organised person to join our household in a varied, hands-on role.
This is not a standard job with rigid hours - our home and business lives are closely connected and we need someone flexible, adaptable and ready to help where needed.
The role includes cleaning, housekeeping, personal admin assistance, running errands and family support - with a focus on providing care support for our 14-year-old son, who is profoundly disabled.
Our son lives between two homes - ours and his grandparents’ home - so care will be required at both locations when needed (we live 5 minutes apart).
We welcome individuals or couples to consider this role, with higher pay and expanded responsibilities available for a couple working together.
What You’ll Do
House Management Responsibilities
- Daily and deep cleaning of a large home - structured cleaning schedule will be provided
- Laundry management – washing, drying, ironing, folding, linen changes and wardrobe organisation
- Pantry management – keeping supplies stocked and organised
- General household maintenance – coordinating tradespeople, managing minor repairs
Family Support & Disability Care (14-year-old Son)
- Our son lives between our home and his Grandparents' house (5 minutes away)
- Providing care and companionship when he is staying at our home
- Assisting with mobility transfers (he is a full-time wheelchair user)
- Tube feeding – training can be provided if needed
- Personal care and hygiene support including showering, dressing, toileting (nappies) and general wellbeing
- Helping with therapy exercises and daily activities to enhance his quality of life
- Providing support when other carers are sick or unavailable at either residence
- Comfortable with manual handling and lifting, as mobility support is essential
Personal Assistant & Admin Responsibilities
- Managing household admin – scheduling appointments, liaising with trades, deliveries
- Running errands – dry cleaning, shopping etc
- Basic admin and email correspondence
- Using online systems for household records and task management
Who We’re Looking For
We need someone who:
- Is caring and enjoys working in a family setting
- Thrives on variety and is willing to jump in and help wherever needed
- Has strong communication skills – fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Is highly organised and proactive – takes initiative and works independently without the need for micromanagement
- Is tech-savvy – comfortable with computers, email and online bookings
- Is flexible and adaptable – enjoys variety and can adjust to different needs
- Is physically capable - comfortable with manual handling and lifting
- Holds a valid Australian driver’s licence (own car preferred but not required)

Requirements
- Australian driver’s licence (own car preferred but not essential)
- Valid working with children's check
- Valid police check
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Previous experience in housekeeping, personal assistance and/or disability care
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Legal working rights in Australia
- Comfortable with tube feeding, mobility support and personal care (training can be provided)
- Physically capable of manual handling and lifting
