About the role

This is a full-time role based in our Melbourne CBD retail store, where you will be responsible for providing expert technical support and customer service for our mobile phone and telecommunications products and services. As a Mobile Phone Technician & Retail Sales Assistant, you will play a key part in delivering an exceptional customer experience and helping customers find the best solutions for their needs.

What you'll be doing

• Troubleshooting and repairing mobile phones, tablets and other telecommunications devices
• Providing technical support and advice to customers on device features, functionality and compatibility
• Assisting customers with purchasing decisions and helping them select the right products and services
• Processing sales transactions, managing inventory and maintaining a tidy and organised retail space
• Identifying and escalating any complex technical issues to the appropriate team
• Contributing to a positive, helpful and friendly in-store environment

What we're looking for

• At least 2 years' experience in a technical/retail customer service role, preferably in the mobile phone or telecommunications industry
• Strong working knowledge of mobile phone hardware, software and accessories
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair a variety of mobile devices
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information in plain language
• Passion for technology and a desire to provide the best possible customer experience
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
