Salary: $78,000 per annum + superannuation + entitlements
Tonkatsu is seeking a passionate and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant.
To be considered for this role, the candidate should:
- Hold a valid work permit in Australia.
- Hold an associate degree, at least diploma level.
- Have at least 3 years’ work experience as Cafe/Restaurant Manager.
- Good command of English.
- Possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members.
- Be able to work in a fast paced environment; multitask and handle stress.
- Be able to work at weekends, and commit beyond normal working hours as when required.
The main duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Customer Service: Interact with customers, gather feedback, manage reservations, greet guests, handle customer complaints, ensure service excellence, and assist with order-taking during peak hours if needed.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and schedule staff rosters, oversee daily operations, and foster a positive work environment.
- Team Coordination: Facilitate collaboration between front-of-house and kitchen teams to optimize service efficiency.
- Event Coordination: Plan and organize special functions to enhance customer experience and restaurant appeal.
- Menu Planning: Develop menus in consultation with chefs & cooks to ensure variety and market relevance.
- Financial & Business Performance Management:Monitor sales performance, operational costs, and profitability. & Develop and implement strategies to improve revenue and control expenses.
- Marketing & Promotions: Develop and execute marketing strategies, promotions, and customer engagement initiatives. & Establish partnerships with suppliers or local businesses to enhance the restaurant’s visibility.
- Procurement & Budget Management: Manage purchasing and pricing of goods and beverages, and control expenses.
- Inventory & Financial Records: Maintain stock levels, monitor financial performance, and control expenses.
- Health & Compliance Management: Ensure the restaurant meets the health regulations, maintains cleanliness, and has properly functioning facilities.
- Regulatory Compliance & Licensing: Ensure the restaurant complies with licensing laws, workplace regulations, and safety policies. Oversee food safety standards and occupational health and safety requirements.
- Technology & Systems Management: Oversee POS systems, inventory tracking, and reservation platforms for operational efficiency.
