About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional to take a step into a leadership role within a national construction company that has just upgraded a version of their payroll system. Along with assisting the every day payroll processing, this role will be heavily based around mentoring/developing the rest of the payroll team, and understanding across multiple EBA's/Awards. This is a high volume payroll environment.

Reporting into the Head of Finance, key responsibilities include:

• End-to-end payroll processing for a 300+ employees.
• Payroll reconciliations, adjustments, and third-party payments (PAYG, super, garnishees).
• Providing leave cover for payroll processing (fortnightly and weekly).
• Managing new starters, terminations, and employee changes.
• Interpreting EBAs, awards, and company pay policies
• Preparing payroll reports and ensuring compliance with legislation
• Supporting EOM, EOY reporting, and payroll audits
• Resolving employee queries and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships

The successful applicant will have:

• Strong ADP systems knowledge
• Expertise in end-to-end payroll, STP, taxation, and superannuation compliance
• Excellent excel skills and experience interpreting EBAs/Awards
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
