An established business who has been in the cycling industry for over 25 years, is looking for a team orientated Marketing Assistant to help promote our brands across social media avenues, coordinate sponsorship agreements and assist with the development of new products. GKA Sports Distribution has been a reliable and trusted supplier to retailers for many years and we now look forward to growing with you. This is a full time permanent position.

About the Position

The primary responsibilities of the position are:

• Plan, coordinate and lead the implementation of marketing and promotional activities
• Develop/manage websites, online content, e-marketing and social media platforms
• Develop promotional print and electronic publications and marketing collateral
• Assist with the design and production of Company Catalogues
• Develop and coordinate brand and marketing campaigns and liaise with Suppliers and Sponsorship Partners
• Actively engage and partner with external stakeholders and members of the community
• Organise and attend events to promote products
• Assist clients and reps with their orders and questions regarding our brands
• Develop products to add to our own brand
• Attend Distributor Meetings and Trade Shows either virtually or in person
• Report to the Company Director

You will have:

• Marketing degree or relevant qualification. Graduates are welcome to apply.
• An interest in cycling is advantageous
• Sound understanding of marketing principles
• Knowledge of the media landscape and an understanding of how to read and interpret media plans
• Experience in developing, implementing and tracking campaigns
• Experience across Traditional and Digital marketing
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal to all team members at all levels, suppliers and agencies
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Practical problem-solving skills
• Ability to scope out projects and schedule accordingly
• Able to meet agreed timeframes and deadlines
• Strong negotiation skills
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get the job done
• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to think ‘outside the box’
• Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible
