This role is based out of Alstom's Maintenance depot in Wulkaraka for a 6-month contract with a view to extension.

Reporting to Project Safety and Quality Manager, you will support the project team to ensure project safety and quality by coordinating with all quality and safety activities throughout the project.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Audits & Inspections:Perform regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations, identify areas for improvement, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Documentation & Reporting:Keep meticulous records of quality control activities and produce detailed reports on quality performance and trends to keep the project team informed.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance:Stay abreast of relevant regulations and ensure that all project activities meet legal, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Collaborative Quality Planning:Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to set clear quality objectives and integrate them into project planning, schedules, and budgets.
  • Develop & Maintain QMS:Lead the development, implementation, and upkeep of a robust Quality Management System tailored to our railway infrastructure project.

Profile

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality management, or a related field, with relevant certifications like Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in quality management, assurance, or control, ideally in the railway or infrastructure sector.
  • 1+ years' experience in Auditing (both internal and external audit) and working on line items.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies, including ISO standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to implementing corrective actions, detail-oriented mindset focused on accuracy and compliance.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Rigor, Communication, knowledge of Quality standard (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, ECM,.) and quality tools
  • Experience in operational activities and in documentation management.
