We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Team Leader within the Toowoomba region to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead a team of dedicated Disability Support Workers to deliver person-centered services to our clients. The Team Leader will oversee daily operations, ensure the delivery of high-quality care, and support the professional development of team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of Disability Support Workers to provide high-quality, person-centered care.
• Support participants in daily living and assist in the provision of food preparation, eating, dressing, maintenance of personal hygiene, and general household chores.
• Oversee the implementation of individualized support plans including positive behaviour support plans to meet clients’ needs and goals.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards, including NDIS Quality and Safeguards.
• Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions to ensure ongoing professional development for the team
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and external stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on service delivery outcomes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Address and resolve any incidents or issues that may arise in service delivery.

About You:

• Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within the disability sector.
• Strong knowledge of the NDIS and the disability support framework.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a collaborative environment.
• Compassionate, client-focused approach with a commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience working with participants who have complex disabilities and behaviours including verbal escalations.
• Certificate III in Disability, Community Services, or related field (or working towards).
• MAPA or CPI Training (highly regarded).
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check & Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid Australian Driver’s License & comprehensive insurance certificate.
