The Role:

Senior Wellness Centre Coordinator

Permanent Part-Time

• 2 days per week, 31 hours per fortnight
• Must be able to work at Concord on Thursdays
• The other day is flexible based at Campsie

The primary objective of this role is:

• To provide leadership to the local team in planning and delivery of high-quality person-centred care through the efficient and effective operation of our So Wai Senior Wellness Centre (Vietnamese Group) in line with the organisational service plan.
• To assist and enable older people, people living with dementia to continue living in their own homes, and support their care relationship with their carers and emerging consumer needs.
• To develop and maintain strong working relationships with consumers, their families, industry professionals, relevant government departments, agencies, and members of the community.
• To understand and apply changes to the Aged Care Industry in an environment of rapid growth and diversity.

The Requirements:

Essential:

• Minimum Certificate IV in Ageing Support, Disability or other relevant area.
• Minimum 3 years experience in planning, coordinating and implementing centre-based day care and respite services.
• Understanding of Commonwealth Home Support Program Guidelines, the Aged Care Quality Standards, and relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
• High-level interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong computer skills including competency in Microsoft Suite.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Vietnamese
• Current certificate in First Aid
• Current NSW driver’s license
• Australian Citizenship / Permanent Residency
• National Police Clearance
• Current driver’s licence, good driving record, access to and use of a registered vehicle, CTP with comprehensive insurance for work purposes upon instruction by management or in any exigency.

Desirable:

• Experience in dementia care
• Experience in working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations
• Able to speak/communicate in Cantonese or Mandarin
