About the Role

As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the business, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost control. You will work closely with the executive team to ensure financial stability and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial reporting, compliance, and accounting processes
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies
• Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying areas for improvement
• Implement and optimise financial controls and procedures
• Manage cash flow, payroll, tax compliance, and supplier payments
• Provide insights and recommendations to maximize profitability
• Work closely with restaurant managers to track costs, margins, and operational efficiency
• Ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations, including BAS, GST, and payroll tax

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, minimum 10 years in the hospitality industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax compliance
• Experience with restaurant financial management, including COGS, labour costs, and P&L analysis
• Proficiency in accounting software Xero and Excel
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Australian Citizen
