We’re seeking a talented Steel Framing Detailer who has honed their skills with years of experience at a residential building company, drawing architectural plans, and is now ready to take the next step by transitioning to structural and detailed drawing.

What You’ll Do:

• Interpret construction plans and specifications to create detailed drawings that meet rigorous quality and structural standards.
• Leverage your high-level AutoCAD expertise to transform architectural plans into precise, structural drawings ready manufacture and installation.
• Collaborate with architects, builders and engineers, to ensure the highest levels of accuracy and quality.
• Address customer queries promptly and participate in team meetings, fostering clear communication and continuous improvement.
• Maintain and update, ensuring that all project data is accurately recorded and securely backed up.

About You:

• You bring many years of experience from a residential builder, having drawn architectural plans and are eager to evolve into detailed structural drawing.
• Your high-level AutoCAD skills are essential, while knowledge of Vertex BD or FrameCad is considered advantageous.
• You possess a general understanding of the residential construction industry.
• Knowledge about the light gauge steel and structural steel industry is an advantage.
• Familiarity with the N.C.C and relevant Australian standards is essential.
• You thrive in a collaborative environment, are proactive in communication, and ready to embrace new challenges.
