Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will oversee sales and marketing operations, strategies and tactics, by developing strategic partnerships with OEM’s and dealers and drive revenue growth across their country. Acting as the primary liaison between AutoYou and key stakeholders in the automotive sector, the Business Development Manager will ensure the delivery of value-driven solutions that align with client objectives. This role also involves providing customer service support, including addressing customer warranty matters.
Key Responsibilities
- With the National Manager, develop and implement State-specific strategies and tactics to retain existing clients, acquire new clients, and meet revenue and growth targets.
- Manage relationships with senior managers and dealerships, emphasizing consultative and value-based partnerships.
- Represent AutoYou and its associated brands at industry events, meetings, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to build brand presence.
- Coach and mentor other AutoYou team members and foster a safe, collaborative, professional, ethical and results oriented culture.
- Identify and address client needs by providing tailored solutions and expert advice.
- Coach dealerships and OEM’s to optimize their customer engagement strategies, focusing on micro-touchpoints.
- Provide unanticipated levels of customer service assistance to dealerships, including addressing warranty concerns and ensuring resolution.
- Monitor client satisfaction and retention, using feedback to refine service delivery.
- Collaborate with the National Manager to align objectives with the AutoYou strategic plan and the approval of the Board.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Assist prepare budgeting, reporting, and resource allocation.
- Advocate for the adoption of modern technology and personalized customer engagement strategies within the automotive sector.
- Drive cultural shifts in dealerships toward creating meaningful customer connections.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in the automotive industry, ideally in a sales management or a strategic role.
- Strong understanding of dealership operations and customer lifecycle management.
- Strong relationships with key dealership personnel.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and drive data-informed decisions.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and other business management software.
- Experience in handling customer service concerns, including warranty issues.
- Willingness to travel as and when required.
